Boys Coaches Bios 2010-2011

Dave Skakal - Boys Head Coach

Coach Skakal is in his ninth year as the head coach for the Mosley boys’ soccer team. Dave has been coaching in boys and girls soccer programs since 1991 in California and Florida, including Bay United Soccer Club, where he currently coaches a U-12 girl’s team. He was a founding member of Bay Select Soccer Club (later Bay United) in 1993, served seven years on the board of directors, and holds a Florida State “D” coaching license. Dave is a former president of the Mosley Soccer Booster Club and a member of the Florida Athletic Coaches Association. He teaches in the Mosley Social Studies Department, holding a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and a Master of Science in Business Administration. He and his wife Merrilyn have three children and three grandchildren.

Dan Lewis - Boys JV Coach

Coach Dan Lewis is brings a strong resume of soccer experience to Mosley soccer. His playing experience includes the semi-professional Mobile Revelers in 1996 and indoor soccer with the Savannah Rug Ratz in 1997. He coached the Mosley boys JV team in 1994 and the boys’ varsity in the 1995-96 seasons, and earned a United States Soccer Federation C license in 1996. More recently, Dan was assistant coach to the Panama City Pirates in 2008 and 2009 and is currently coaching U-13 and U-17 boys teams with Bay United Soccer Club. Dan and his wife Kelly have two children.

Dean Keltner - Assistant JV Coach

Coach Keltner returns to the Mosley Boys program for his eighth year as a volunteer coach. Coach Keltner has many years of experience in local recreational and high school soccer programs. He adds a valuable combination of skill and motivation to the program.
