Jan 22, 2013 vs Columbia Mosley defeated Columbia 1-0 on a golden goal by Cole Moreau only 44 seconds into the first overtime last night in the district tournament in Tallahassee. Strong defense by Christian Marsh, Matt Ott, Banton Price, Zane Asselin, Miguel Arteaga, and Lane French gave the Dolphins the opportunity to win during a hard fought 0-0 tie in regulation time. Hunter Ginn had the assist and Josh Hoey had seven saves in the shutout. Mosley is 5-9-4 and advances to play number one seed Chiles tomorrow night again in Tallahassee. |
Jan 12, 2013 vs Bay Mosley shut out the Bay High boys soccer team on Saturday by a score of 3-0. First half goals were by Nick Cowan and Jake Palmer, while Micah Hapner added one in the second half. Assists were by Joey Jacobsen, Tyler White and Karim Elbana. Josh Hoey had two saves in goal. The varsity record is 3-9-4 and they finish the regular season Thursday against Arnold at Arnold.

Mosley lost to Jesuit 3-0 in the first game Friday evening, and to Columbia 3-2 in the first game Saturday. Saturday afternoon the Dolphins defeated Wakulla 4-3. The JV record is 10-4-2 and they finish their season Thursday against North Bay Haven at Arnold. |

Joey Jacobsen and Tyler White also had unassisted goals. Keeper Josh Hoey had three saves. Mosley is 2-9-4 (1-4-3 district), and plays Bay on Saturday at 1:00 at Tommy Oliver Stadium.

Dec 13, 2012 vs Navarre Mosley went down to Navarre last night in a boys soccer match at Tommy Oliver Stadium by a score of 3-1. Joey Jacobsen tied the score at 1-1 in the first half on a goal that was unassisted, but the Dolphins gave up a quick goal to start the second half and then a later one that put the game away. Josh Hoey had four saves in goal and Mosley's record fell to 1-7-4. The JV plays North Bay Haven Friday evening at Harders park at 6:00 and then the Dolphins host Rutherford Monday night at Tommy Oliver, JV at 5 and varsity at 7 |

Trailing 2-1 at halftime after scoring first on a Mosley goal by Tyler White and assisted by Joey Jacobsen, the Dolphins tied the game early in the second half on an unassisted goal from Joey Jacobsen. Josh Hoey and Jake Palmer each had two saves in goal. Mosley' record moved to 1-6-3 (0-3-3 in district) and they travel to Leon on Tuesday.

Nov. 16-17, 2012 vs Opponent The Mosley boys JV team took second place in the Rutherford JV soccer Tournament this past weekend. On Friday night, Mosley defeated Lincoln 3-0. On Saturday, the Dolphins came back from a two goal deficit to win against Choctaw by a 4-2 score. In the championship against Fort Walton Beach Mosley fell 1-2. Hunter Ginn led the scoring with three goals and one assist. Zac Bennett also notched three goals, while Ryan Reed, and Judah Tuvyana had one each. Assists were by James Lovett (2), Brian Bottomy (1), and Tanner Anderson (1). Keeper Mitchel Wright logged 15 saves for the tournament. The JV record is 3-1-1 and they will play at Columbia in Lake City on Nov 28. |
Nov 15, 2012 vs Rutherford Mosley played Rutherford to a 1-1 tie last night at Rutherford in a boys soccer match. Greg Salazar scored in the first half on a breakaway after a nice thru pass by Micah Hapner for the assist. Rutherford evened the scored just before the halftime break. In spite of a flurry of shots by Mosley in the second half, the game ended in a tie. Keeper Josh Hoey had two saves in goal. Mosley is now 1-3-2 and plays Columbia after the Thanksgiving break. |
Nov 13, 2012 vs Lincoln Mosley's boys soccer team fought to a 2-2 tie in a district match at Lincoln last night after giving up two goals to Lincoln in the first three minutes. Anthony Gentili scored in the first half assisted by Greg Salazar. Nick Cowan evened the score in the second half assisted by Joey Jacobsen. Keepers Josh Hoey and Jake Palmer had two saves each. Mosley's record is 1-3-1 and we play Rutherford Thursday night at Rutherford.

Nov 9-10, 2012 vs Opponent Mosley competed in the Maclay Soccer Invitational Tournament in Tallahassee over the weekend of Nov 9-10. With a depleted squad due to two players out for injuries, one football player joining the team late, two players having previous commitments, and two players sufferring injury during the tournament, the Dolphins had plenty of excuses. In the end, however, the small team faced three tough opponents and rose to the challenge. Against Columbia, Lake City on Friday, Mosley took 14 shots, 8 on goal, while holding Columbia to five total shots, but finally giving up a second half goal to lose 1-0. Josh Hoey had four saves. On Saturday against Gainesville Santa Fe, Mosley gave up a first half goal in spite of outshooting Santa Fe by more than two to one (10 shots to 4). In an exciting second half, Santa Fe scored twice more to go up 3-0, but Mosley roared back with eight shots, seven on goal, and scored three goals to tie the game before giving up the losing goal in the 83rd minute. Final score 4-3 Santa Fe. Goals were by Joey Jacobsen (PK), Micah Hapner on a crossing assist by Nick Cowan, and Banton Price finishing a free kick assist by Joey Jacobsen. Josh Hoey suffered a finger sprain in pre-game warmups and Jake Palmer filled in with two saves for the game. After losing Hoey as a keeper, and Alex Burgans to a high ankle sprain during the Santa Fe game, Mosley faced Maclay with one sub, keeper Josh Hoey, who filled in as a field player. The teams were pretty evenly matched. Maclay began the scoring with a first half goal in the 31st minute, but Mosley answered with a 25 yard free kick goal by Joey Jacobsen two minutes later after Tyler White was fouled. The score remained tied until the end of the game when Mosley ran out of gas. With three minutes remaining, and playing with no subs because sweeper Lane French was out for an injury, Maclay finally scored in the 37th minute to win 2-1. Jake Palmer had seven saves in goal. Mosley's record fell to 1-3 for the season and they will face Lincoln at Lincoln on Tuesday. |

Greg Salazar scored in the 40th minute on a long cross by Burgans. Salazar then capped the scoring with a second half goal in the 52nd minute assisted by Cole Moreau. Josh Hoey had five saves in goal. The Dolphins play Friday evening in Tallahassee at the Maclay Tournament against Columbia, Lake City. |

Jan 23, 2012 vs Lake City Columbia Mosley's boys soccer season came to an abrupt end in a 5-1 loss to Lake City Columbia in the District 2-4A play-in match on Monday. Columbia scored in the second minute of the match and the score remained 1-0 at halftime. Columbia scored early again in the second half and surged to the victory. Mark Grant scored Mosley's lone goal in the second half. Nathan Gutcher had four saves and Josh Hoey two saves in goal for the dolphins, who finished 10-8-1. |
Jan 19, 2012 vs Bay In boys soccer, Mosley lost a close one on Thursday by a score of 3-2 to Bay High. Leading 1-0 on a goal by Justin Reed, assisted by Mark Grant at the half, Mosley gave up three quick goals at the beginning of the second half and had to play catch up for the rest of the night. Mark Grant scored in the 60th minute, but Mosley could not even the score despite controlling most of the remainder of the game. Nathan Gutcher had 6 saves and Mosley's record is now 10-7-1. The loss gave Mosley a tie for the county championship, shared with Bay. The Dolphins open the district tournament tonight at Chiles versus Columbia at 6 pm. |

Mosely improved to 10-6-1 and they play Bay on Thursday evening at Tommy Oliver Stadium in the last regular season game, at 7 pm.

Keeper Nathan Gutcher had two saves in goal and the Dolphins record improved to 9-6-1. Mosley hosts Rutherford Monday at Bozeman, JV at 5 and varsity at 7 pm. Monday will also be senior night when 15 seniors will be recognized at their last home soccer game. Come out and cheer us on. |

Joey Jacobsen scored one goal and had two assists. Other goals were by Micah Hapner and Miguel Arteaga and other assists were by Zach Nelson, Mark Grant and Matt Perles. Nathan Gutcher had 9 saves in goal including one saved penalty kick. The varsity record improved to 8-6-1 and they travel to South Walton High Thursday to play at 5:00 pm.

Chiles scored early, but Mosley tied with a goal from Joey Jacobsen, assisted by Mark Grant, midway through the first half. Chiles added two more goals before halftime, and then the second half was played evenly with no score. Josh Hoey and Nathan Gutcher each had four saves in goal. The Dolphins record fell to 7-6-1 (3-5 district), and they play Arnold Tuesday night at Gavlak.

Though outshooting Chiles 12-10, and playing hard to the very end, the Dolphins could not find the net. Josh Hoey had four saves in goal. Dec 6, 2011 vs Bay Mosley boys soccer hosted Bay High last night at Gavlak Stadium in a match played in and out of the rain. The Dolphins posted a 2-0 halftime lead on goals by Joey Jacobsen, assisted by Mark Grant, and Micah Hapner unassisted. In a back and forth second half, Bay scored in the 11th minute, Grady Marsh scored for Mosley in the 13th minute, assisted by Justin Wright, and Bay scored their final goal in the 28th minute. The last 12 minutes was a hard fought battle but Mosley held on for the 3-2 win to improve their record to 5-3-1. Nathan Gutcher had 11 saves in goal. Mosley will travel to Lake City for district games against Columbia on Friday.

Dec 2-3, 2011 vs Chiles, Columbia, & St. Francis Academy Mosley's boys brought home a second place trophy from the Maclay Florida Capital Soccer Invitational tournament in Tallahassee this past weekend. The Dolphins lost to Chiles Friday night by a score of 3-1 with Cole Nycum scoring on Justin Wright's assist. They defeated Columbia 2-0 Saturday on goals by Grady Marsh and Mark Grant. Cole Nycum assisted. Mosley's second game on Saturday was a 1-0 win over St. Francis Academy, as Cole Nycum scored the game-winner assisted again by Justin Wright. Nathan Gutcher had seven saves over the weekend and Josh Hoey had 15. The Dolphins record is now 4-3-1 and they play Bay High on Tuesday at Gavlak Stadium, JV at 5 and varsity at 7 pm. |

Keeper Josh Duncan made several outstanding saves and logged a total of 12 for the match. |

Dec 10-11, 2010 vs Opponent The varsity Mosley boys team suffered two close defeats at the Tallahassee Classic Tournament this past weekend at Leon High Shool. The first game against Leon ended in a 1-1 tie on a first-half penalty kick goal by Richard Santora for Mosley. The game went directly to PKs where Mosley lost 3-2 with only Richard Santora and Matt Perles scoring. In the second match Saturday morning, Mosley played Niceville to a no-score tie until the 19th minute of the second half when the Eagles scored by a header on a corner kick, ending the tournament for Mosley. Keeper Josh Duncan was very active against Leon with 12 saves and then had 7 against Niceville. Mosely's record is 3-4 and they travel to Niceville on Tuesday, Dec 14. |

Earlier, Mosley defeated Gulf Breeze 2-0 on goals by Cole Moreau and Tyler White, assisted by Alex Burgans. They advanced to the championship game by defeating Choctaw 2-1 on goals by Brandon Salazar and Matthew Ott with two assists by Chase Gilligan. In the shootout the score was tied at 4-4 after the first round, but Richard Santora scored the winning goal in sudden death for an exciting 5-4 finish. Nov 20-21, 2009 - Rutherford JV Tournament The Mosley finished Rutherford's JV Invitiational Tournament with a 1-1-1 record. On Friday, the Dolphins fought to a 0-0 tie with a strong Lincoln team. With good scoring opportunities early and late in the game, the defensive and midfield effort was very good throughout. Keeper Nathan Gutcher was outstanding with 12 saves.

Jan. 16, 2009 vs. Lincoln Mosley suffered more than the cold weather on Friday night as Lincoln handed out two defeats to the Dolphins during the seniors' last home game. In the varsity match Lincoln scored a first half goal and a second half goal for a 2-0 win while Mosley could not put the ball in the net. Warren Fleer logged six saves on the night. The varsity record is now 12-5-1 (3-4-1 district) and they play Bay at Bozeman on Monday. The loss gave Mosley third seed in the district tournament and they will meet number two seed Lincoln again on Wednesday, Jan 28, at Chiles (7 pm eastern time).
JV: Win In the JV game, Mosley allowed five first half goals and two in the second half for a 7-0 loss. In an uncharacteristic performance, the JV was shutout for the first time this season and had allowed more than two goals only once before. Josh Duncan had nine saves and the JV record fell to 12-4-1, 5-3 district (second to Lincoln). They also play Bay Monday at Bozeman. |

Cole Nycum had two goals and one assist, Matt Perles two goals, Eric Taylor one goal and two assists and Jeremy Pitts one goal. Jeremie Murray added an assist to complete the scoring. Keeper Josh Duncan had five saves. The JV improved to 12-3-1 and will play Lincoln at Tommy Oliver Friday night. |

Jan. 9, 2009 vs. Rutherford Austin Rogers gave Mosley boys soccer a one goal lead in the first half, but Rutherford scored on two penalty kicks in the second half for a 2-1 win over the Dolphins Friday night at Tommy Oliver Stadium. The loss gives Mosley a 12-3-1 record, 3-2-1 in district. Warren Fleer had five saves and the boys travel to Chiles today.

Jan. 6, 2009 vs. Leon Mosley won a pair of boys soccer games over district foe Leon night before last in Tallahassee. In the varsity match, the Dolphins won by a score of 2-1 on a first half goal by Zach DeVaux, assisted by Andrew Beasley and a second half unassisted goal by Kyle Adams. Keeper Warren Fleer had 11 saves. The varsity is now 12-2-1 and plays Rutherford Friday night.

Dec. 19, 2008 vs. Arnold Mosley's boys defeated county rival Arnold 5-0 in a Friday night match at immaculate Gavlak Stadium. Kyle Adams broke a scoreless tie in the 40th minute on an assist from Andrew Beasley and Andrew then scored himself a minute later to give the Dolphins a 2-0 halftime score. Arnold packed the defense and mounted little offense, but was able to frustrate the Dolphins' constant attacks for most of the night. In the second half, Stephen Ray scored on a penalty kick, Beasley got his second goal on an assist from Stuart Branstetter, and Jonathan Urbina put in a corner kick from Stephen Ray that was nearly in by itself. Blake Nobles and Warren Fleer combined for the shutout; Blake had one save in the first half and Warren none in the second. Mosley's varsity record is now 11-2-1 (2-1-1 district 2/5A, 4-0 county) at the Christmas break and they will travel to Leon for a district match on Jan 6.

| Dec. 12, 2008 vs Wakulla Tournament Varsity: Win 1st Place MHS Varsity 7, Suwannee 3 MHS Varsity 8, Wakulla 0 MHS Varsity 5, Maclay 1 The Mosley boys won first place in the Wakulla High School soccer tournament this weekend at Wakulla. Mosley defeated a big and physical Suwannee team Friday night by a 7-3 score after trailing early in the second half. Saturday morning the Dolphins mercy-ruled an injury-plagued Wakulla 8-0. In the last match, after leading a skillful Maclay team at half time 1-0, Mosley broke the game open for a 5-1 victory and the tournament trophy. Top goal scorers were Austin Rogers (5 goals, 4 assists), Kyle Adams (4 goals, 3 assists) and Jonathan Urbina (3 goals). Other scoring were Stuart Branstetter (2 goals, 2 assists), Andrew Beasley (2 goals, 1 assist), Brad Gatta (2 goals, 1 assist), Andrew Underhill (1 goal, 2 assists), Ian Allen (1 goal, 1 assist), and one assist each by Graham Ball, Stephen Ray, and Jackson Platt. Two minutes earlier Andrew Beasley had tied the score on an assist by Stephen Ray. Stuart Branstetter scored the other Mosley goal assisted by Kyle Adams. Warren Fleer had 6 saves. Nov 21-22, 2008 vs. Rutherford JV Tournament JV: 2nd Place MHS JV 3, Choctaw 0 MHS JV 3, Bay 0 MHS JV 1, Lincoln 3 Mosley captured the second place trophy in the Rutherford JV tournament this weekend at Harders Park. After playing Leon to a 1-1 tie Friday night on a goal by Jeremie Murray, the Dolphins defeated Choctaw and Bay by scores of 3-0 and 3-0 to advance to the championship match Saturday evening. Richard Santora scored early for Mosley, but Lincoln notched two second half goals for the win. Matt Perles scored two goals, Jeremie Murray another against Bay, and one each were added by Jon Bottomy, Jamison Hall, and Andrew Hall during the weekend. Keeper Josh had 25 saves in the four games. |

Despite leading 1-0 at half time and dominating most of the game, the Dolphins gave up two second half goals to lose 2-1. Mosley's lone goal was scored by Kyle Adams and assisted by Stuart Branstetter. Warrren Fleer and Blake Nobles each had three saves. Mosley plays Bay tomorrow at Harders at 3:00 pm.
