Girls Coaches Bios 2012-2013

Marek Betkowski - Girls Varsity Coach

Coach Marek Betkowski begins his first year coaching the Mosley girls varsity soccer team after twelve years coaching the Mosley boys during which time his teams won twelve consecutive Bay County championships. He is a full time professional coach and was a former player in his native Poland. He has 23 years of coaching experience and holds a Master's Degree in Physical Education with a Soccer Specialty Degree. He also has earned United States Soccer Federation B and C licenses. Coach Betkowski was named the 2003 Florida Youth Soccer Association's Coach of the Year. Since 1996, he has coached Bay United Soccer Club teams, winning over 100 Tournament Championships. He is currently serving Bay United Soccer Club as Director of Coaching and also coaches two Bay United teams, the U10 Girls and U11 Girls.

Suzanne McCormick - Girls JV Coach

Coach Suzanne has been playing soccer since the age 4. She played competitively for the Memphis Futbol Club in Memphis, TN. She was selected for the Tennessee State Select Olympic Development Program at age 12 and was 1 of 2 players selected for the Region III Regional Pool Team at 13. She continued to play in ODP throughout high school. She was recruited from her Briarcrest High School soccer team to play for the University of Memphis with a full scholarship. She was a starter all 4 years as a defender.
Coach Suzanne has a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Sport Science and is currently pursuing a career in physical therapy.
Coach Suzanne coached coed recreational soccer for 2 years in Memphis before moving to Panama City. She played on coed adult soccer leagues here for a couple of years before Bay United scooped her up as a coach in 2009 in our Academy Program. In 2010 she coached the U10 Girls White team and led them to 3 championships and 3 finalists spots.
Coach Suzanne is married to Colin McCormick and has two children, Zoe McCormick of U11Girls Blue and newborn Harley Wells McCormick.
