Girls Coaches Bios 2008-2009

Dan Golema - Girls Varsity Head Coach

Coach Golema is in his 30th year of teaching and last 28 years has been at Mosley High School. He played baseball for Gulf Coast Community College, were he earned his AA degree. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida where he majored in Special Education with minors in Physical Education and Science. Presently he teaching Earth Space Science. Mosley began its soccer program in the early 1980's with Coach Golema being selected as the first head coach and the team was co-ed. He coached soccer at St. John's Elementary school from 1990 - 1998. In addition, he has coached various other sports at Mosley: volleyball,softball,football and girl's basketball. Currently, his wife, Donna, is a Senior Housing Specialist with the Bench Mark Group from Buffalo, New York. They have six children and one grandchild on the way.

Jon Rhodes - Girls Varsity Coach

Coach Rhodes begins his ninth year with Mosley, bringing playing as well as 15 years of coaching experience to the girls’ varsity program. His coaching experience includes nine years with Mosley soccer; ten years with the Hull City Football Club in England; eight years in the Centre of Excellence Program at Hull City A.F.C.; and one year coaching in Futbol de Salou (Brazilian Soccer School). For six years he served as Director for British Soccer Camps, one of the foremost soccer camp organizations in the United States. Coach Rhodes attended Thomas Danby College in Leeds, England, where he earned a National Education Board Certificate in Sports and Recreation for Supervisory Management. In addition, Coach Rhodes currently holds the following licenses: FA Football Leaders Certificate, FA Disabled Footballers Certificate, FA Preliminary Award, FA License, U.E.F.A. B License, and City & Guilds National Vocational Qualifications Level 1, 2, and 3 in coaching (children and adults).

Maite Goicoechea Mahoney - Girls JV Coach

Maite Goicoechea Mahoney has returned to the sidelines with the JV Dolphins after working last year with the Rutherford girls.  Maite is a Mosley graduate who still holds assist records. Just look on the cafeteria wall. She went on to play Division One soccer for Troy University and has been coaching club soccer for several years. Maite coached some of the Dolphins as U-10 players. Maite is married to Terry Mahoney, also a soccer coach. They have an infant son, John Patrick.
